I just wanted to say 'Hi' to all you Marliss Melton fans. I love her stuff and read everything I could get my hands on as fast as I could get it. Some of the older titles lead me on a merry chase through the romance sections of every Half-Price Books store in north Texas, but I finally found them all! I look forward to chatting with others who love her characters as much as I do.

Peace,

Good news!

Gus & Lucy's book is back on track! My editor is a genius. All I had to do was to change Gus & Lucy's attitidue toward each other from page one and carry the changes through the book, keeping the plot as is.

Revisions are moving right along! Let's pray there is no snow (or all my kids will be home, interfering in the rewrite, which is due just after Christmas).

Will I get a holiday this year, or not?????

Christmas is coming!

I am so depressed. The real reason I can't churn out a book in six months is that I write a story and my editor basically asks me to rewrite it. I've told you guys that Gus and Lucy have been problematic for me. The first draft was full of action but low on tenderness. Duh! I already knew that, but my editor has told me how to fix the problem, so it's back to the drawing board. I had half a day of freedom, thinking I could take a break and let my mind rest, maybe enjoy a little down time. But ...

Be sure to get the extended play version so you can see the extras (behind the scenes etc.)

I think we need to retire Bruce Willis and have Alan as Lt. Waters. He has the body and hair for it!!!!

Hey, all,

It's me, Marliss. I know, I've been GONE for a long time. Blame it on my publisher. I had to finish Lucy's book, and, let me tell you, she's as tough to write about as her character implies. Five months and many moments of self-doubt later, I'm finished, at least until my editor writes up her letter and tells me how to make the book better. I'm praying I won't have to slave over his book anymore!!

I'm in mourning! My husband Alan shaved the black moustache he's had for 27 years. Now I'm living with a bald-headed, clean-shaven stranger. It's kind of kinky...New man in the bed and all that. But I can't get over how different he looks. Who knew a 'stache could change a man's appearance so drastically.

I asked if I could have it back for Christmas, but since it was starting to get gray hairs and he doesn't want to dye it, the answer was, probably not.

I suppose this is just one ...

I have just given birth to an amazing book! TOO FAR GONE, Sean and Ellie's book, is coming out in November (which means Amazon will probably sell it in October). WHat a painful birth that was, but the book is the best yet, I think. It's a thriller and a moving love story, a mystery and an adventure. Sean is so freaking hot I had to call my husband home many times while writing his story. Look for a teaser coming soon on my website. First I'm waiting for the cover art. Stay tuned!

These are nail-biting times for me. My stepson Bryan is in Coronado about to class up for training to become a member of SWCC -- Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman. These are those crazy guys in boats and helicopters and rafts that drop off and pick up the SEALs. The attrition rate is like 60%. Bryan's just crazy enough to make it. I'll post a picture (discretely) of his whopping biceps and six-pack. He's super-confident that he will graduate, but his course hasn't started up yet, so the ...

Finished it in two days. and that's only cause hubs drug me out Sat afternoon or I would have finised Sat night.

WOW, loved it. I was so happy to see Mako fall in love. Loved the tie-in with the back characters as well. Now why must we wait soo long for the next? And if I'm correct we will probably see Lucy again!

Marliss ~ Thank you for recommending Lone Survivor. I finished this book at 1:30 A.M. today. It normally takes me 1 1/2 to 2 days to read any book, but LS took me 4. I had to stop as I was unable to read through the tears that were literally rolling out of my eyes and down my face. I have always had a profound respect for all military personnel. This book however has given me a re-newed sense of respect for not only every man and woman who serves in any branch, but for their families and ...

Okay, readers, here's the deal. If you don't like kids then DON'T LET GO may not be your favorite book in my SEAL series. This book has lots of kids in it. I can't help it. I, myself, am surrounded by kids and it shows. If you love kids you're going to be in heaven. There will be less children in the next book and none in the book after that, so if you're childless and happy about it, stay tuned. I'll give you exactly what you want.

Well, it used to be that I couldn't read anything but a romance. My mom was always foisting "real" books on me. I don't know why, but now that I'm forty, I'm suddenly interested in those "real" books. I'm reading "HEALED BY A HORSE" by Susan Richards and "EAT, PRAY AND LOVE" by ...Elizabeth Gilbert. They're pretty good.

Of course, I have ELITE WARRIORS to read, based on Argval's recommendation, but first I have to steal it back from my husband.

You get to read more about Marcus and both Classes 226 and 228. It is a different perspective on BUD/S. You get to see what Marcus went through in greater detail when he joins 228 in Phase 2.

There are many mentions of Marcus as well as pics of him in training too. You will see Marcus doing pushups ...

Okay, like Kerry, I'm looking forward to two movies coming out--Shooter with Mark Walberg and, of course, the 3rd Jason Bourne movie, Bourne Ultimate. I tried to cut and paste their pictures here but...hold on...nope, I can't figure out how to do that from here. Matt Damon played Jason Bourne perfectly in Bourne Identity. I just loved that movie!! It'll be interesting to see how Bourne Ultimate turns out. The second movie was action packed, but it sure was sad when Jason's wife died. (sniff!)
