These are nail-biting times for me. My stepson Bryan is in Coronado about to class up for training to become a member of SWCC -- Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman. These are those crazy guys in boats and helicopters and rafts that drop off and pick up the SEALs. The attrition rate is like 60%. Bryan's just crazy enough to make it. I have just given birth to an amazing book! TOO FAR GONE, Sean and Ellie's book, is coming out in November (which means Amazon will probably sell it in October). WHat a painful birth that was, but the book is the best yet, I think. It's a thriller and a moving love story, a mystery and an adventure. Sean is so freaking hot I had to call my husband home many times while writing his story. Look for a teaser coming soon on my website. First I'm waiting for the cover art. Stay tuned!

Ran out this weekend to get the book. Was in agony all week waiting for Sat so I could run to B&N. Was so happy that there it was sitting in the New Releases section.

Finished it in two days. and that's only cause hubs drug me out Sat afternoon or I would have finised Sat night.

WOW, loved it. I was so happy to see Mako fall in love. Loved the tie-in with the back characters as well. Now why must we wait soo long for the next? And if I'm correct we will probably see Lucy again!

Okay, readers, here's the deal. If you don't like kids then DON'T LET GO may not be your favorite book in my SEAL series. This book has lots of kids in it. I can't help it. I, myself, am surrounded by kids and it shows. If you love kids you're going to be in heaven. There will be less children in the next book and none in the book after that, so if you're childless and happy about it, stay tuned. I'll give you exactly what you want.

Well, it's not a motorcycle or a new woman, so it could be worse. My husband has discovered triathalons, which means daily, rigorous training for up to four hours a day...

The house is falling to ruin. That new coat of paint? The stain he planned to put on the deck? The lawn full of weeds...they are all being ignored as he goes off and does his thing.

The only perk for me is...well, he LOOKs like a TriAthelete. And his endurance is great.

So I'm just going to shut up and let ...

Well, it's official, my dear readers! I just sold two more books to my publisher. The titles haven't been established yet, but I will tell you that Sean "Harley" Harlan (who appears in Chapter 3 of NEXT TO DIE) is the hero. You haven't yet met the hero or heroine of the book after that, but you'll meet them in DON'T LET GO, which comes out in April. Anyone want to celebrate with me??

Real books versus Romance Novels

Well, it used to be that I couldn't read anything but a romance. My mom was always foisting "real" books on me. I don't know why, but now that I'm forty, I'm suddenly interested in those "real" books. I'm reading "HEALED BY A HORSE" by Susan Richards and "EAT, PRAY AND LOVE" by ...Elizabeth Gilbert. They're pretty good.

Of course, I have ELITE WARRIORS to read, based on Argval's recommendation, but first I have to steal it back from my husband.

If you haven't read this book, get it!

The Warrior Elite: The Forging of SEAL Class 228

by Dick Couch (if you look around you can get a hardcover for the price of the paperback).

You get to read more about Marcus and both Classes 226 and 228. It is a different perspective on BUD/S. You get to see what Marcus went through in greater detail when he joins 228 in Phase 2.

There are many mentions of Marcus as well as pics of him in training too. You will see Marcus doing pushups ...

Okay, like Kerry, I'm looking forward to two movies coming out--Shooter with Mark Walberg and, of course, the 3rd Jason Bourne movie, Bourne Ultimate. I tried to cut and paste their pictures here but...hold on...nope, I can't figure out how to do that from here. Matt Damon played Jason Bourne perfectly in Bourne Identity. I just loved that movie!! It'll be interesting to see how Bourne Ultimate turns out. The second movie was action packed, but it sure was sad when Jason's wife died. (sniff!)

I just need to vent, here. NEXT TO DIE has been written and ready to go since July of '06, but here you are, having to wait till August '07 to read it. The good news is that the Advanced Reading Copies (ARCS) will be in my hot, little hands soon, and I'm going to give them away as prizes!!

In the meantime, I've written the book that comes after NEXT TO DIE and I'm proposing two more books. Yay! Keep your fingers crossed that my publisher will hurry up the pace and put ...

But her name is Jordan and she looks like me--only younger, dammit, with violet blue eyes instead of green. Her name is Jordan.
